From red wine to polyphenols and back: A journey through the history of the French Paradox

      ]. The world's fauna had been just annihilated by the Great Flood when wine came into existence. When Noah's ark stranded on dry land and when the waters receded, human agriculture commenced with Noah's establishment of a vineyard (Genesis, Chapter IX, verse 20–29). Noah clearly enjoyed his own winemaking as he lay naked and drunk in his tent. However, his drunkenness did not affect his longevity for he lived another three hundred and fifty years.
