Thrombosis Research is the Official Journal of European Thrombosis Research Organisation (ETRO), is an international non-profit organisation, that aims to promote education and scientific research on all aspects of thrombosis and haemostasis.
This is done by facilitation of
- scientific exchange between the participating institutions,
- organization of scientific meetings and workshops,
- coordination of specific research activities and joint research projects,
- provision of information on equipment and methods in the member laboratories
- encouragement of a visitor exchange program
- establishment of contacts with other organizations, authorities and institutions with an interest in thrombosis and haemostasis.

North American Thrombosis Forum
The North American Thrombosis Forum’s (NATF) mission is to focus on unmet needs and issues related to thrombosis and cardiovascular disease such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, and stroke. NATF’s five areas of major focus are:
- Education and Prevention
- Public Policy
- Clinical research, focusing on diagnosis and therapy
- Basic translational research
- Advocacy
The NATF vision is to improve patient care, outcomes, and public health by utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to advance thrombosis research and education. NATF programs encourage collaboration among translational researcher, clinical researchers, healthcare professionals, policy makers and patients.
